Juanita Hubertz

Juanita Ann Hubertz, 68, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth East Hospital 6:55 PM Tuesday June 23, 2015 shortly after admission. Juanita was born in Lafayette July 15, 1946 to the late William and Grace Howard Delaney and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She married James L. Hubertz at St. Lawrence Church in Lafayette May 30, 1964 and he survives. Juanita was a homemaker, but had also been employed at the Dollar General Store on 231 South from 2001 until 2007. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, knitting and taking in stray cats. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Janet M. Feeney (Jim) of Dayton, IN and Debra J. Nicholson (Terry) of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Amanda and Danielle Nicholson and Roger Feeney; and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Randy Delaney. The Rosary will be recited at 2:45 PM Sunday, with visitation to follow from 3 until 6 PM Sunday at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church 10:00 AM Monday, Fr. Dominic G. Young officiating, with entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
