Joanne Cox

Joanne Jean Cox, 90, of Lafayette, passed away at Green-Hill Manor in Fowler, IN 6:28 AM Thursday October 13, 2022 where she had been a patient the past two years. Joanne was born in Boston, MA September 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Marshall) Johnson. She was a graduate of South High School in Wooster, MA and received her degree in nursing from Mt. Auburn HospitalSchool of Nursing in Cambridge, MA. Joanne was a registered nurse for the U. S. Navy for 20 years, and later was employed at the Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, IN. Her marriage was to Edward David Cox in Oakham, MA September 4, 1954 and he preceded her in death April 18, 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Fowler (Brad) of Buford, GA; a son, Robert L. Cox (Sherry) of West Lafayette, IN and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Donna Cox of Oxford, IN, along with 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
