Jerry L. Booth, 67 of Lafayette, passed away at 3:11 pm Monday November 15 after a courageous 4+ year battle with 3 different cancer types. Jerry was born in Lafayette on June 19th, 1954 to the late Gerald J and Beverly A (Hamilton) Booth and graduated from Harrison High School. He worked for CTS Corporation in West Lafayette for 36 years, Tuthill Transport Technologies in Brookston for 4 years, and for the last 10 years worked as a lab tech at ACell, now known as Integra Life Sciences of Lafayette. Jerry married the love of his life, Melissa Anne Skiver in 1988, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 1998. Jerry loved life, “DA Bears”, and enjoyed boilermaker football and basketball. Jerry relaxed with hobbies including boating, cooking, fishing, hunting morels, and vacationing with friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, friends, family, and cats Sofie and Daisy. Jerry was a hard worker, and was genuine, honest, and kind in nature. He treated his co-workers like family and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jerry is survived by his stepmother Charlotte Totten of Monticello, 5 brothers Don (Cheryl) of Cutler, Lee of Dayton, Terry (Linda) of Kokomo, Harry (Cheryl) of Phoenix, Henry (Lindsey) of Monticello, and his grandchildren Ty and Ryan Fisher. Jerry was also preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Fisher. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23rd from 10-11:30am at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette with a graveside service to follow at 12: 00 PM (Noon) at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lafayette, Deacon Joe Poremski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in Jerry’s name to the Indiana University Health Foundation earmarked for Arnett Cancer Center, Lafayette, IN.
