Jeraldine Allen

Jeraldine S. Allen 89, of Lafayette, died at IU Arnett Hospital Thursday September 17, 2015. She had been residing at Rosewalk Village the past two years. Jeraldine was born in Veedersburg, IN August 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Earl and Virginia Stuart Lilly and was a graduate of Attica High School. She married Earl S. Allen in Attica March 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death February 23, 2007. Jeraldine had been employed by J. C. Penney and Co. for many years before her retirement. Surviving is a daughter, Cathy Ann Franklin (Rich) of Lafayette; two sons, Arthur A. Allen of Attica; David Earl Allen of West Lafayette; three brothers, Albert Lilly (Peggy) of California; Jim Lilly (Carole) of Louisville, IL; Sam Lilly (Shirley) of Edgewood, KY; three sisters, Amamda Hale (Jim) of Lafayette; Betty Martin of Lafayette and Armilda Towlef of Attica. Also surviving are two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Allen; a sister Mary Lilly and a brother Earl "Harto" Lilly. Graveside services will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette 1:00 PM Friday, Chaplain Tom Covington officiating. Hahn-Groeber Funeral & Cremation services is caring for the family.
