Jeanne Mikels

Jeanne Mikels, 53, of Lafayette, and formerly of Crawfordsville and Linden, died at Lafayette Home Hospital 11:26 A.M. Wednesday Sept. 17, 2008 where she had been a patient for 4 days. She had been ill for the past 2 weeks. Born in Crawfordsville Indiana the daughter of Mary J. Lochard Harshman and the late Harold Harshman, she was a 1973 graduate of North Montgomery High School, and had resided in Lafayette for the past 15 years. She married Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Mikels in Tennessee November 27, 2002, and he survives. Mrs. Mikels was assistant manager of Check N Go in Lafayette, and was a collector of angels. Surviving beside her husband is her mother Mary J. Harshman of Linden, IN.; a daughter, Kelly Sutton of Linden, IN.; a son, Marc Sutton of Crawfordsville, IN.; a step-daughter, Jennifer Mikels of Lafayette, IN.; a step-son, Jeffrey B. Mikels of Lafayette, IN.; and a brother, Fred Harshman of Linden, IN. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden from 4 P.M. until the service at 6 P.M. Saturday, Pastor David Mikels officiating. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren. Jeanne passed away to Heaven in her husband's loving arms. She touched so many lives for her short time on earth and will be greatly missed by all. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Jeanne Mikels memorial fund.
