Jeanette A. Blankman, 80, of Fowler, Indiana died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette 11:30 A.M. Thursday August 28, 2008, where she had been a patient since Monday. Mrs. Blankman had been in ill health since July 9, 2008. Born in Benton County near Fowler January 30, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Ruth Windler Benner, she was a graduate of Fowler High School. She married Donald J. Blankman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler May 3, 1949, and he survives. Mrs. Blankman was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford, and enjoyed gardening, farming, quilting sewing and antiques. For nearly 25 years, she worked at Van Hoy Farm management Co. In Oxford as a bookkeeper, and had previously worked at the Benton Community School Corporation and the Savings and Loan in Oxford and Fowler. Surviving beside her husband are 2 daughters, Janet Hasser (husband James) of Earl Park, IN.; Diane Kocher (husband Scott) of Madison, IN.; a son, Brad Blankman (wife Kathy) of BattleGround, IN.; 3 sisters, Lillian Goetz of Fowler, IN.; Irene Schwartz of Fowler, IN.; Patricia Van Meter (husband Royal) of Lafayette, IN.; and 2 brothers, Harold Benner (wife Maxine) of Fowler, IN. and Roy Benner (wife Jeanne) of Mesa, Arizona. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford, IN. from the Rosary at 2:45 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Monday, St. Patrick's Church, Oxford, Fr. Robert Klemme officiating. Interment Oxford Catholic Cemetery. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Benner.
