Jason Trail, Sr.

Jason A. Trail, Sr., 39, of Frankfort, IN died at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis Monday February 5, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in a fire in the family residence earlier on Monday. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN June 10, 1978, the son of Deborah L. Whitman Cook. Jason married Vanessa M. Strebinger in Lafayette, IN September 3, 2011 and she survives. He was employed as a factory tech at NKT in Frankfort. Jason loved the country life. He was a life-long Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Carolina, Ava and Payton; six sons, Leroy, Kolby, Jason, Jr., Michael, Kolton and Keaton; his mother, Debbie Cook of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother, Brad Cook, Muncie, IN; two sisters, Angie Kern of Ft. Wayne, Nikki Cook of Muncie, IN and a granddaughter, Mar-Queena. He was preceded in death by his maternal grand-parents, Ernest C. and Thelma J. Whitman. A memorial visitation will be held at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Saturday Feb. 17.
