Janice Leuck

Janice S. Leuck, 49, of Lafayette, died at the Willows Nursing Center in Valparaiso, IN. 4:15 PM Sunday August 15, 2010, where she had been a patient since July. She had been in ill health since 2003. Janice was born in Lafayette August 22, 1960, the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Schluttenhofer Leuck, and was a 1978 graduate of Benton Central High School and a 1989 graduate of Davenport College. She had resided most of her life in the Lafayette area, but had resided in Valparaiso from 1985 until 1990, when she returned to Lafayette. Janice had formerly worked at Payless and enjoyed oil painting, walking, archeology, anthropology, history and marine life. Surviving is a daughter, Janna Leuck, and 2 sons, Matthew and Geremie Myers, all of Valparaiso, IN.; 3 sisters, Carole Wolfe of Oxford, IN.; Gloria Johnson of San Antonio, Texas and Myrna Wolverton (husband Joseph) of Lafayette, IN.; and 4 brothers, Keith Leuck (wife Myrna) of El Dorado, Arkansas; Ken Leuck (wife Jane) of San Antonio, Texas; Dan Leuck (wife Wanda) of Attica, IN.; and Alan Leuck (wife Vicky) of Fowler, IN. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford from noon until the service at 2:00 PM Saturday, Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the BCCP (Breast & Cervical Cancer Program) at the Lafayette YWCA.
