James Mathews

James E. Mathews, 86, of 3851 N. River Road, West Lafayette, formerly of Valparaiso and McCrory, Arkansas, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center 12:15 P.M. Wednesday August 20, 2008. He was born in Woodruff, Arkansas April 22, 1922, the son of the late James W. and Leela Elam Mathews. He served in the Army during World War II, and had worked for Von Tobel Lumber in Valparaiso. There are no immediate survivors. Friends may call A½ hour prior to the service in the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel at 10:30 AM Tuesday, Chaplain David Hess officiating.
