James Kilgore

James Scott Kilgore, 70, of Darlington, IN passed away at his residence Saturday evening July 17, 2021. James was born in Lafayette, IN September 13, 1950, the son of the late Robert W. and Mable L. (Bridges) Kilgore and attended Linden High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during Viet Nam from 1970 until 1972. James was a retired employee Eli Lilly & Co. for over 25 years, working in the tool room. He was a member of the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville and a former member of the Linden United Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Robert S. Kilgore of Linden, IN and David B. Kilgore of New Ross, IN. Also surviving are two nieces, Kim Dice and Kellie Ahl; and a nephew Kyle Kilgore. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Kilgore.  A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at the Linden Cemetery 11:00 AM Saturday July 24, with military rites by American Legion Post 72.
