James A. Francis, 52, of Oxford, IN. died at his residence 10:20 AM Monday May 21, 2012. He had been in ill health with cancer since 2010.
James was born in Fowler, IN. to Marjorie Bennett Francis and the late John E. Francis. He was a graduate of Benton Central High School, and had worked as a machinist at Fairfield Manufacturing the past 15 years, and was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Oxford.
He married Vickie L. Stader in Oxford at St. Patrick's Church November 1, 1997, and she survives.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter Courtney M. Francis at home; his mother, Marjorie, of West Lafayette, IN.; 3 sisters, Joan Kochert (husband Ed) of St. Louis, MO.; Mary Ann Thiery (husband Tim) of Muncie, IN. and Arlene Lynch (husband Gary) of Lafayette, IN.; and by 5 brothers, Ron Francis (wife Lois) of Fowler, IN.; John "Butch" Francis of Rossville, IN.; Tim Francis (wife Mary) of Fowler, IN.; Rick Francis (wife Lori) of Fowler, IN. and Mike Francis (wife Lisa) of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Francis and a sister, Pam Francis.
Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford, from 5 until 7 pm Thursday, with Rosary at 4:45 PM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford, Father Robert Klemme officiating, with interment in Oxford Catholic Cemetery.
