James Burke

March 12, 1973 — March 20, 2017

James A. Burke of Guerneville, California was called home to be with God on March 20, 2017 at 1:07am in his home in Lafayette, In. James was born on March 12, 1973 at Petaluma Hospital at 9:12am to his loving parents Ann and David Marciano of Galt, California. James was an active member of AA/NA and a longtime volunteer of The Surf Center. James loved animals, music, movies and being of maximum service to those about him. His personal mission was to make people laugh and smile. With a bit of time, love and space, God sat down beside him and touched his face. He left this world a better man, to stand at His right hand. To spread the word in another place. To be reborn so someone else can see his beautiful face. James is survived by his loving Grandmothers, Kathleen Walker of Petaluma, CA and Sylvia Marciano of Calistoga, CA; his sister Sarah Marciano of Lafayette, IN and his nephews, Maxwell and AJ and his niece, Natalia Marciano. He is also survived by his beautiful life partner Laura Roher and his step sons Lester and Chub Rohrer and William Johns, all of Battleground, IN. James has many, many more family and friends that he leaves behind as well. Preceding him in death, his Pompa Donald Walker of TN, Grampa Pete of CA; Uncle Bob of CA and Uncle Steve, also of CA. There will be a celebration of James’s life on Saturday March 25, 2017 at The Surf Center, 307 N 10th St Lafayette, In 47904 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. Contributions to assist the family with memorial costs can be accepted through GoFundMe on Facebook. Please go to: https://www.gofundme.com/james-burke-memorial. Or people can make a donation in his name to Natalie’s Second Chance Dog Shelter. All proceeds from GoFundMe go directly to the family, and the donations to Natalie’s go to help support her cause. James would like that. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuenralhome.com
