Isabelle Anne Crosby, 93, of Crawfordsville, died at Williamsburg Heallthcare Center in Crawfordsville 11:14 AM Monday October 27, 2008. Born in Nevada, Iowa February 26, 1915, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Gertrude Christopher Wheelock, she had resided in Crawfordsville since 1960. Her marriage was to John W. Crosby in Ames, Iowa February 18, 1946, and he preceded her in death October 1978. Mrs. Crosby was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Boone, Iowa, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, and a former member of the Sugar Creek Travel Club. Surviving is a daughter, Susan Diane Magstadt (husband Dennis) of Crawfordsville, IN.; 2 sons, John Dennis Crosby (wife Burma) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; W. Michael Crosby (wife Sue) of N. Ogden, Utah; and 5 sisters, Bernadine McDonald of Ames, Iowa; Elizabeth Clark of Moorehead, Minnesota; Gertrude Fitzgerald of Boone, Iowa; Patricia Beach of Henderson, Nevada and Joneta Bell of Ames, Iowa. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, Father David Hellmann officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Grant Ave. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Askelson.
