Helen Irene Leathermon, 76, of Oxford, Indiana, died at her residence do to injuries suffered in a fire at her residence early Monday morning October 20, 2008. Born August 12, 1932 in White Oak Junction, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Orville and Zora Bell Winchester, she had resided in Oxford the past 58 years. Mrs. Leathermon had worked in the housekeeping department at the Edgewood View Nursing Home from 1983 until her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed and loved her patients at the nursing home, as well as enjoying bowling and cooking. Surviving are 2 daughters, Lisa Stacy (husband Ed) of Oxford, IN.; Diane Dienhart (husband Ray) of West Lafayette, IN.; a son, Charles Flaherty (wife Jackie) of West Lafayette, IN.; a brother, Ernie Winchester (wife Lucy) of Oxford, IN.; and 2 sisters, Betty Foster and Bonnie Campbell, both of Oxford, IN. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford, one hour prior to the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Larry McMillan officiating. Interment Oxford West Cemetery. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Shawn & Aaron Branz; Alisha & Brittany Stacy; Christy Little and Beau Stacy; 3 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Isaac & Tyler Branz.
