Helen King

Helen Louise King, age 96, died on Friday, December 25, 2015, at St. Anthony's Health Care, Lafayette, Indiana.
Helen was born March 4, 1919, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the first-born child of Clarence and Florence Smith.
Helen worked with her parents at the Madison Floral Shoppe, Madison, Indiana. She and her dad moved to West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1972 where she worked for her son, Ronald King, at The Wright Flowers for many years. She was a caregiver for her mother, dad and a cousin.
She was a long-time parishioner of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, West Lafayette. Helen enjoyed visiting her California grandchildren on many occasions and the many family gatherings held for birthdays, graduations, weddings and holidays.
Surviving are 3 sons and 1 daughter, Ronald King (Jayne), Bob King (Molly), Michael King (Rose) and Carolyn Muller, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren, and a sister Ruth Whittaker (Charles) of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Helen was preceded in death by infant daughter, Ann King, and brothers Robert, Elmer, and George Smith.
We thank the nursing and aides staff at St. Anthony's Health Care for such caring and loving attention they gave to Helen during her six years residency.
Visitation will be Friday, January 8, at 10 a.m. EST at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, West Lafayette with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Fr. Ted Dudzinski officiating. Rite of Committal and inurnment will immediately follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum, West Lafayette. Hahn-Groeber Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for the family.
