Harold Mcbee

Harold Frederick McBee, 73, of Crawfordsville died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at the IU Medical Center from complications of liver cancer.
He was born February 12, 1935 in Crawfordsville to the late Isaac C. and Hallie Henderson McBee of Linden.
He graduated from Linden High School in 1953 and Purdue University in 1957. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. McBee was an Insurance and Real Estate Broker and owner of two agencies in both Colfax and Linden. He later worked for R.R. Donnelly at Crawfordsville. Mr. McBee was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church for 73 years.
He was a former member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles and American Legion of Crawfordsville. He also held membership in the Order of the Eastern Star and Murat Shrine Club, with lifetime membership in the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
He enjoyed horse racing and Purdue football and basketball .

He is survived by his daughter Angela Roberts (husband Mark) of Rockwell, N.C. ; a brother Walter "Sonny" McBee of Darlington; and a sister Mary Frances Winger Sherfey (husband Gene) of Linden.
Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden, from 5 until 8 P.M. Friday. Funeral services 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home, Rev. Patty French officiating. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Josh Fulwider and Rachel and Kellie Roberts, 3 great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Kelsey Fulwider. Preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. "Andy" McBee.
