Harold B. “Toots” Clark,87, of Lafayette passed away at Franciscan East St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 4:04 AM where he had been a patient the past two weeks. Harold was born July 9, 1937 in Monon, IN the son of the late Raymond E. and Mary E. (Leach) Clark and was a 1956 graduate of Shadeland (IN) High School. He married Helen Louise Roth at St. Ann’s Church in Lafayette December 28, 1957 and she survives. Harold was a brick mason and retired in March 2002 from Purdue University maintenence department where he was employed. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. Harold never met a stranger and had many friends and enjoyed making new ones. The start of the Eagles Golf League was the highlight of his summer. Along with his love of golf, he was an avid Purdue fan, especially basketball. Harold was happiest when he could be outdoors and enjoyed his time with family. Many enjoyed his sense of humor and lack of filter. If you ever met him, you would have made a friend for life. His family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the medical staff at Franciscan Health over the past two weeks.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Vicky Louise Roberts (Mike) of Dayton, Jo Elaine Mitchell (Bob) of Romney and a son, Larry Keith Clark (Robin) of Lafayette and a daughter-in-law, Kelly Terrell of Fowler. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Rachael Allison, Luke Clark, Kevin & Kyle Roberts, Bradley Mitchell, Lauri Vitale, Hailey Cecil and Sarah Livengood along with 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving ae special friends Darrell Ogden, the Graves family and his friends at the Eagles. He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Dwayne Clark, three sisters, Judy Frost, Marilyn Balser and Caroline Van Fossen along with four brothers, Raymond, Norman, Robert and Charles Clark.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:30 AM Tuesday April 29, Chaplain Ralph Moller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Those desiring may contribute in memory of Harold to St. Ann’s Soup Kitchen. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home is honored to serve the Clark family.
