Glen Bymaster

April 1, 1925 — January 18, 2012

Glen W. Bymaster, 86, of New Richmond, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Crawfordsville 3:42 AM Wednesday January 18, 2012.
He was born in Ladoga, IN. April 1, 1925, the son of the late Roy B. and Neva McFerren Bymaster, and was a graduate of Ladoga High School.
Glen married Rosemary May Goettling at Indiananapolis, IN. December 30, 1944, and she preceded him in death July 19, 2011.
A farmer and agriculturist, Glen was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church; past president and board member of Montgomery County 4-H, Inc.; a former member of the Montgomery County Planning Commission; the Montgomery County Sheriff's Merit Board; the Coal Creek Township 4-H Boosters; Coal Creek Central School Boosters; Coal Creek Central FFA Advisory Board; New Richmond Fire Department Advisory Board; EMT for the former Linden Volunteer Ambulance Service; former director of Kirkpatrick Grain; a member of the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation District; and a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Crawfordsville. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II from July 1943 until May, 1944.
Surviving is a daughter, Sherry Coon of Waynetown, IN.; 2 sons, Gary Bymaster (wife Patty) of Crawfordsville, IN. and Rick Bymaster (wife Christina) of New Richmond, IN.; and a sister, Marjorie Wilson of Roachdale, IN. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister in infancy.
Friends may call at the Linden United Methodist Church from 5 unti 7 PM Friday, with funeral service at the church 10:30 AM Saturday, Rev. Dr. LaMont Bonath and Rev. Patty Bymaster officiating. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery (North), with military graveside rites. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Linden United Methodist Church.
