Gerald Jackson

Gerald Lee Jackson, 79, of West Lafayette, passed away at his residence Saturday June 10, 2023. Gerald was born in Lafayette July 7, 1943, the son of the late Francis and Florence (Swick) Jackson and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. He married Merilou M. Jennings at Lafayette July 21, 1963, and she survives. Gerald was employed by the U. S. Postal Service both as a carrier and as a clerk before his retirement. Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Brenda White of Goffstown, NH, Karen Miller (Randy) of Denver, IA, Susan Jackson of West Lafayette, IN and a son, Mike Jackson (Rhonda) of Tamaqua, PA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sarah Slagsvol and Renee Jackson and by two great-grandchildren, Oskar and Kora Slagsvol. A private interment service will be held at the BattleGround Cemetery, BattleGround, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Community Cancer Network of Lafayette.
