Gerald Howell

Gerald J. "Gerry" Howell 59, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center 7:00 AM Wednesday June 3, 2009, where he had been a patient since Thursday. Born in Lafayette November 13, 1949, the son of the late Richard Neville and Mary Lou May Howell, he resided most all of his life in Lafayette except for a brief period in Indianapolis. He graduated from Wood High School in Indianapolis, and also the Herron Art School of Indianapolis. Mr. Howell married Theresa Marie Remmetter in Indianapolis June 22, 1991, and she survives. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and had worked for Indianapolis Public Schools, and most recently was employed at St. Elizabeth Medical Center the past 8 years. Surviving beside his wife is a step-daughter, Olivia Priest (husband Nick)of Griffin, GA.; and a brother Dan Howell (wife Memory) of Luise Center, Ohio. Also surviving are 2 step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Michael Howell. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from the Prayer Service at 4:45 until 8 PM Monday.
