Georgia Allen

November 28, 1935 — April 16, 2018

Georgia R. Allen, 82, of Oxford, IN passed away at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette, IN at 6:30 PM Monday April 16, 2018 where she had been a patient for the past year. Georgia was born in Monticello, KY November 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Raymon and Flonnie Morgan Piercy. She married Robert E. Allen at Templeton, IN October 4, 1956 and he preceded her in death November 21, 1983. Georgia retired from the Benton Community School Corporation where she was employed for over 25 years. She was a member of the Montmorenci Baptist Church and the Oxford Lions Club. Surviving are two sons, Dan B. Allen (wife Angela) of Lafayette; Mike L. Allen (wife Theresa) of Oxford, IN; two sisters, Neva Thompson of Ellenton, FL and Bernice Black of Monticello, KY. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Dustin, Stacey, Darcy, Jamie and Cory along with five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Allen, three brothers and three sisters. Graveside services will be held at the Pine Village Cemetery in Pine Village, IN 10:30 AM Saturday April 21, Mr. Larry McMillan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Benton County Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford, is caring for the Allen family.
