George Albert

George H. Albert, 64, of Linden, IN. died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Emergency Room in Crawfordsville, IN. Sunday January 19, 2014. George was born in Cincinnati, OH. June 10, 1949, the son of the late Lawrence Henry and Ruth Marie Dagley Albert. He married Connie Carol Parrish at Attica, IN. December 21, 1969, and she survives. George served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War, and was employed by Purina, now Cargill, Inc. in Lafayette as a grain miller. He was a member of St. Paul Community Church, and a former member of the Lafayette Gas Bangers CB Club, Madison Township Fire and Rescue Department, Montgomery County Emergency Management and the Lafayette Cloud Jockeys. Surviving with his wife is a sister, Dianna Lynn Valangeon (husband Gary) of Covington, IN. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Vernon and Lawrence Wyatt Albert. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden from 5 until 7 PM Wednesday. Funeral services 11:00 AM Thursday at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. R. Clayton Kendall officiating, with military rites by the American Legion and VFW of Crawfordsville. The interment will follow at Linden Cemetery.
