Frankie Briscoe

Frankie Alberta Briscoe, 81, of Lafayette, formerly of Oxford, IN. died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center 2:15 PM Monday June 29, 2009. She had most recently been residing at St. Anthony Healthcare the past year. Born in Pine Village, IN. November 20, 1927, the daughter of Cynthia A. Dinwiddie Kincade, she was a graduate of Oxford High School. Her marriage was to John Mark Briscoe, Sr. in Lafayette July 27, 1946, and he preceded her in death May 18, 1983. Mrs. Briscoe had worked as a nurse's aide at Home Hospital 18 years, and later at the Indiana Veterans Home 9 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Evergreen Wesleyan Church. Surviving are 2 daughters, Susan Forest of Cleveland ,Texas; Cindy Arndt (husband Bill) of Frankfort, IN.; and a son, John Brsicoe, Jr. (wife Stephanie) of Owensboro, KY. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Evergreen Wesleyan Church, 1525 Grove St., Lafayette from noon until the service at 1:00 PM Thursday, Revs. Joe Park and James Rickenbauch officiating.
