F. William "Bill" German, 66, of Linden, IN. died in the emergency room of St. Clare Hospital in Crawfordsville 11:56 PM Tuesday November 25, 2008 suddenly and unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack. Born November 7, 1942 in Lafayette to Willis C. and Mary E. Shumate German, he was a life long resident of Linden. Mr. German was a 1962 graduate of Linden, IN. High School, attended Purdue University, the University of Indianapolis and Indiana Business College. He married Zua M. Johnson in Lafayette March 25, 1986, and she survives. Mr. German was a farmer and grain hauler. Surviving with his wife is his mother, Mary E. German of Linden; 2 daughters, Jill S. German (partner Beth Meyerson) of Indianapolis, IN.; Jacque L. Jones of Indianapolis, IN.; a son, Jan German (wife Heather) of Battle Ground, IN.; and 2 step-sons, Martin R. Horner of Chicago. IL. and Daniel P. Horner (wife Diane) of Charlotte, N.C. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Blake, Haley & Bret German; Morgan, James & Jackson Horner; Jake German and Taylor Jones. Preceded in death by his father, Willis C. German.
