Esta Frances Bayless, 89, of Morristown, Indiana, formerly of Pine Village, died at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN. Sunday October 5, 2008, where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been a patient at Morristown Manor, Morristown, IN since June 2005.. Born in Lafayette September 20, 1919, the daughter of the late Eugene L. and Esta Violet Bisner Hildenbrand, she was a 1937 graduate of Pine Village High School. She married Joseph S. Bayless at Shelbyville, IN. Feb. 6, 1939 and he preceded her in death August 11, 1984. Mrs. Bayless was a member of the Pine Village United Methodist Church, and the Women's Circle at the church; a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Rainsville. She had worked as a postal clerk for over 33 years at Pine Village and Lafayette, retiring in 1979. Surviving is a daughter, Janice Richardson (husband Graham) of Carthage, IN.; and 2 sons, Larry J. Bayless (wife Carolyn) of Williamsport, and Dennis G. Bayless (wife Toni) of Attica, IN. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford, from 5 until 7 PM Wednesday. Funeral services at the funeral Home 10:30 AM Thursday, Rev. Mike Link officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a niece, H. Gretchen Snyder, and a great-nephew Rick Snyder. Preceded in death by a sister, Eddis E. Delaney and a grandson.
