Eldora Miller

Eldora M. Miller, 89, of Lafayette, formerly of Oxford, died at Regency Place in Lafayette 5:15 PM Saturday November 14, 2009 where she had been a patient for the past month. Born in Warren County, IN. December 12, 1919, the daughter of the late William and Daisy Banning Clawson, she had resided in Oxford since 1942. She married Dale B. Miller at Oxford, IN. February 15, 1942, and he preceded her in death June 1977.Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Pine Village High School, attended Purdue University and Martin Beauty School. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church for 50 years; past matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star, Beulah Chapter for over 50 years, and served as grand representative for the Order of Eastern Star Oxford and Otterbein Chapters. Mrs. Miller was a member of the former Zeta Chapter, Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority. Surviving is a daughter, Margaret E. Boze of Lafayette, IN. and 2 sisters, Louise Kook of Monticello, IN. and Anna Belle Iddings of Glenview, Illinois. Preceded in death by a sister, Zelma Martin and 3 brothers, Walter, Wilbur & Arba Clawson.The Order of Eastern Star will conduct services, with a memorial service immediately following at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 1:00 PM Friday, Pastors Linda Sproull, Charles Knott and Bruce Mowery officiating. Entombment in Oxford West Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
