E. Kenneth Lank, of Oxford, Indiana, died at the Illiana VA Medical Center in Danville, IL., 11:35 A.M. Saturday January 16, 2010. Born in Templeton, Indiana March 22, 1924, the son of the late Wilbur and Josie Belle Thomas Lank, he attended Templeton, Oxford and Otterbein Schools. He married Bonnie Lee Piercy in Fowler, IN. May 9, 1952, and she preceded him in death August 16, 2007. Mr. Lank served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Transportation Corps. He worked as a carpenter for Steve Connor Construction for 25 years and later owned and operated Lank Construction with his sons, retiring in 1986. Mr. Lank was a member of the Fowler Baptist Church and the VFW post at Attica. Surviving is a son, Gary Lank (wife Dewanna) of Oxford, IN. and a sister Clara Mae Brooks of Williamsport, IN. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lank and sister Aliene Wallace. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford from noon until the service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Rev. Tony King officiating. Interment, Justus Cemetery with Military graveside rites.
