Dr. Nicholas Misecko, Jr

Dr. Nicholas "Nick" Misecko, Jr., DDS , age 80 of West Lafayette, died at Home Hospital in Lafayette 1:14 PM Wednesday December 31, 2008, where he had been a patient since Friday Dec. 23. Born May 23, 1928 in East Chicago, IN., the son of the late Nick and Julia Michel Misecko, Sr. he had resided and practiced dentistry in the area since 1976. He attended St. Precopias Grade School, was a graduate of East Chicago, IN. High School, and was a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, IL. Dr. Misecko served in a MASH unit with the US Army during the Korean War. Surviving is a daughter, Rita Misecko of PawPaw, MI. and a son, Nicholas "Nick" Misecko, III of Whitefish, MT. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Kismet and Kai Gray. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 3 until 6 PM Sunday, (EST). The Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 8103 Columbia Ave., Munster, IN. at 12 Noon Tuesday (CST) , Msgr. Frank Korba officiating, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
