Dorothea "Dot" Morrison, 93, of Lafayette, died at University Place Healthcare Center, West Lafayette 8:45 AM Wednesday Nov. 26, 2008 where she had been a patient since November 19. Mrs. Morison was born February 21, 1915 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Frank L. and Mary A. Boyce O'Brien, and had resided in Lafayette since 1944. She attended school in New York, and was a graduate of the Gaines School of Secretarial Training and Business Administration in New York City. Her marriage was to John A. Morrison, Jr. in Brooklyn, New York August 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death August 24, 1982.Mrs. Morrison retired in June 1985 from Purdue University after 30 years, working in the School of Agriculture Administration. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Purdue Retiree's. Surviving is a son, Kenneth L. Morrison, (wife Cathy) of Lafayette. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Jeff (wife Pam) Morrison; Scott (wife Anne) Morrison; Michelle (husband Mike) Tomson); Denise (husband Micheal) Tilstra and Kyle Morrison; 7 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Whitney & Jesse Morrison; Jennifer & Melissa Morrison; Sophie & Tessa Tomson and a daughter-in-law, Patty Morrison. Preceded in death by a son, Jack A. Morrison. Friends may call from the Rosary at 2:45 until 6 PM Sunday at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia, Lafayette. Funeral services at HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME 1:00 PM Monday, Chaplain Bob Fish and Fr. Robert Klemme officiating. Interment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens at a later date.
