Christopher P. Hale, 47, of Oxford passed away Sunday September 26, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident on family property in Warren County. He was born on July 9, 1974 in Marion, IN to his mother, the late Barbara A. (Hinkle) Hale and his father, Robert E. Hale, who survives. Chris was a 1992 graduate of Madison-Grant High School, Fairmount, IN and attended many schools receiving certificates of achievement in training for his employment. He married Christie A. Coleman in Marion, IN August 23, 1997, and she survives. He followed her across the state where they planted their roots and started a family. You didn’t have to know him very long to see fishing was his life’s passion. He enjoyed anything he could do to spend time with his girls, whether it be at a softball field, cross-county or track event, volleyball or basketball game, taking them fishing, siting in the deer stand, teaching them to work on their vehicles, or breathe new life into an old tractor. Chris accomplished a lot in the short time God permitted him here on earth. Many of these same passions and talents he shared with his buds/pals who all became as close as family. Chris was past president and member of the Lake Freeman Ski Club; member and past officer of Bass Lafayette; member of Indiana Anglers Choice; member of Illiana Antique Power Association and Oxford Dan Patch Days Festival Volunteer. He was employed professionally as a service technician for Wiese USA. Surviving with his wife Christie is his father and step-mother, Robert E. and Brenda G. Hale of Converse, IN; two daughters, Sarah E. Hale and Molly A. Hale (companion Koltin T. Tucker) both of Oxford, IN, an honorary daughter Keely Y. Meadows, of Indianapolis, and a brother, Joseph R. Hale (wife Amelia) of Converse, IN. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara A. Hale. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford, IN from 1:00 PM E.S.T. until the service at 4:00 PM Friday October 1, Pastor Larry McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in Justus Cemetery in Oxford. Antique tractors will lead a procession to the family’s property in Warren County for a celebration of life immediately following the service at the cemetery.
