Catherine Gordon

Catherine V. Gordon, 95, of Lafayette, died at Clarian Arnett Hospital 1:34 PM Saturday August 14, 2010. She was born August 6, 1915, in Lafayette, IN. to the late George and Esther Kurtz Vaughan, and had resided in the Tippecanoe and Benton county areas most all of her life, and was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Lafayette. On September 13, 1958 she married Dale E. Gordon in Lafayette, and he preceded her in death December 7, 1998. Mrs. Gordon was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and was a homemaker but had also worked for the Palais Royal and an insurance agency in Lafayette. Surviving are 2 sisters, Margaret Depp and Helen DeHahn, both of Lafayette. Also surviving are 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Shriner, Camilla Brant and Patricia Shreve and by 2 brothers, David and Robert Vaughan. A memorial service will be held at the Rosewalk Village Club Room 10:00 AM Friday, Fr. Dan Gartland officiating. A private interment will be held at Justus Cemetery at Oxford.
