Caroline Griswold

Caroline Grace Griswold, 82, of Lafayette, passed away at her residence in Lafayette 1:36 AM Thursday December 21, 2017. She was born in Lafayette November 13, 1935, the daughter of the late Duane M. and Dorothea L. Vess Corbin and was a graduate of Morton Memorial High School in Knightstown, IN. Caroline was married to Russell Patrick Griswold, Sr. in Lafayette January 31, 1958, and he preceded her in death May 8, 2013. She was a homemaker, but had been employed a short time with National Homes Corporation in Lafayette; was a member of the American Legion Post 11 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo. Surviving are two daughters, Vicci Steele (Dennis) of Lafayette; Janet Menasian (Eric) of Taylor, SC; three sons, Garry Griswold (Mary Griswold) of Lafayette; Russell P. “Pat” Griswold (Natalie) of Lafayette and Dan Griswold( Stephanie) of Lafayette; a sister, Mary Alice Bixler of Lafayette; by 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Griswold and a sister, Daisy Cross. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Saturday December 23, Rev. Dr. Raymond Parnell officiating.
