Carl Click

Carl J. Click, age 90, died Saturday December 24, 2017 at Westminster Village in West Lafayette, IN. He was born April 28, 1927 in Huntington, IN to the late Scott and Merle (Elser) Click. Carl’s mother died when he was very young and he was raised by his older sisters, Berniece, Wilda, Letha and Othella, who preceded him in death. He graduated in 1945 from Central High School in Ft. Wayne, IN. Carl served in the United State Marine Corps, stationed in China from 1945-1946. He worked as an accountant at General Electric in Ft. Wayne for 41 years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Park Place Estates in Harlingen, TX for 27 years. He was a private pilot, an avid woodworker, and volleyball player, continuing to play until the age of 85. He moved to Westminster Village in West Lafayette, IN in 2014 to be closer to family. Carl is survived by three children: Gary (Barbara) Click of Lafayette, IN; Peggy Bratt of Arcola, IN; Tim (Sandy) Click of Ft. Wayne, IN; five grandchildren, Jodi Click of Berne, IN; Tracy (Lindsay) Click of Livonia, MI; Lisa (Nicholas) Ostrowski of Ft. Wayne, IN; Michael Bratt of Wawwaka, IN and Eric Gillespie of Ft. Wayne, IN; three great-grandchildren, T.J. Gillespie, Alex Gillespie and Tony Gillespie all of Ft. Wayne, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
