Betty Lynch

Betty R. Lynch, 83, of Kokomo, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo 4:41 PM Sunday April 12, 2009 where she had been a patient the past 10 days. Born in Lafayette December 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Willard and Mildred Plumb Carpenter, she was a graduate of Monticello, IN. High School. She married Herman J. Lynch at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lafayette September 15, 1945 and he preceded her in death June 13, 1975. Mrs. Lynch had formerly worked for Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello, and in later years worked at the A & P Store and Ben Franklin store, both in Kokomo. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Surviving are 2 sons, Gary J. Lynch (wife Arlene) of Lafayette, and Michael D. Lynch of Kokomo, IN. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Brian Lynch (wife Stephanie) of Cincinnati, OH. Staci Richards (husband Mike) of Lafayette, Jennifer and Ashley Lynch of California, along with 6 great-grandchildren. Private family services will he held in Lafayette.
