Annabelle Jones

Annabelle Jones, 97, of Linden, IN passed away at the Ben Hur Health and Rehab Center in Crawfordsville, IN 7:15 PM Tuesday June 12, 2018. Annabelle was born in Pittsboro, IN January 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Ardra Leon Coffin and Maggie May Haffner Coffin Auman. She was a 1939 graduate of Linden High School and was a homemaker but had also hung wallpaper for over 50 years. Her marriage was to Harry D. “Mac” Jones in Linden December 31, 1940 and he preceded her in death August 28, 2006. Annabelle was a member of the Ben Hur Camping Club, Linden Conservation Club, Sugar Creek Campers, Crawfordsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Binky Patrol, Crawfordsville Eagles Auxiliary and the Sugar Creek Square Dance Club. Surviving is a daughter, Anne C. Osting (Steven L.) of Haines City, FL; three sisters Jean Edwards of Crawfordsville, IN; Shirley Paxton of Ladoga, IN; Darlene Steele (Jack) of Ladoga, IN; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry David Jones; two sisters, Virginia Scott and Bernice Gentry; and by five brothers, Emory Auman, Ross Auman, Dick Auman, Robert Coffin, Marion Auman,; and a nephew John Coffin. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden from 12:00 PM until the service at 1:00 PM Friday June 15, Chaplain Cindy Haley officiating, with interment to follow at Linden Cemetery.
