Anita Eckman

Anita L. Eckman, 81, of Lafayette, passed away at Franciscan East, St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette 6:13 PM Monday November 26, 2018 where she had been a patient since Friday Nov. 23. Anita was born in Lafayette March 21, 1937, the daughter of the late Leonard H. and Mary F. (Ryan) Eckman and was a 1955 graduate of St. Francis High School. She was employed at ALCOA for over 20 years in the office, and was later employed at Eli Lilly Tippecanoe Labs, and retired from there. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and a weekly prayer group at St. Boniface. Surviving is a sister, Marilyn Bogan of Lafayette; a brother, James H. Eckman; three nieces, Donna Anderson of West Lafayette; Monica Richards and Chelle Smitson of Zionsville, IN; eight loving great nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, David P. Bogan. Friends may call from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Monday December 3 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Fr.
