Andrew "Andy" C. Gick

Andrew C. “Andy” Gick, 75, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at home on May 2, surrounded by his family. Andy was born in Fowler, IN on December 16, 1948, the son of Conrad A. Gick and Mary M. (Vanderkolk) Gick . Andy worked as an electrician in telecommunications and retired from Verizon after many years of employment. He worked all the way up until his recent health decline at Elite Electrical in Louisville, KY. Andy enjoyed drag racing with his son AJ with their super-pro dragster. He was preceded in death by his son Andrew James “AJ” Gick in 2021 and daughter Theresa Haynes. He is survived by his wife Judy Gick of Fort Wayne, daughters Margaret “Renea'' Price (David) of Lafayette, Misty Gick of Fort Wayne, brothers Timothy Gick (Katie) of TN, Michael Gick (Janet) of Lafayette, sisters Mitzi Elwood of GA, Patricia Slopsema (Edward) of Muncie, Suzanne “Susie” Fawbush (Jerry) of Fort Wayne, Judy Ringle (Mike) of Lafayette, Jane Cox of TN and numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and many cousins. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette, IN from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM  Tuesday May 7, with Fr. Peter Vanderkolk officiating.
